Service

Toya began her service in Charleston on the Navy Base working as an AmeriCorps Team Leader in 1995. She has been part of the Liberty Fellowship, a statewide leadership and service network, since 2006. Toya is most recognized, however, for her service on the Charleston County School Board as a Trustee from 2006-2012. She dedicated six years to improving the public school system including facilitating construction of many new school buildings that are enjoyed by students and parents today.
